January will close cold, with rain and snow, and low temperatures. This forecast was announced by meteorologist Tanja Porja, according to whom, after warm days, tomorrow heavy rain will return across the territory, while temperatures, which are currently at 20 degrees, will drop by 4-5 degrees tomorrow.

“January has had 11 cold days; it has been warmer than last January. Today we expect 20 degrees Celsius. Late tonight, precipitation will return in the north and northwest, in Shkodër, and gradually throughout the night across the entire Albanian territory. Tomorrow, we will see heavy rainfall in the first part of the day, with snowfall in mountainous areas above 1,000 meters of elevation. January will close with rain, snow, and low temperatures. Tomorrow there will be a significant drop in temperatures. We expect 14-15 degrees tomorrow, with both rainfall and low temperatures,” said Porja.

As for February, according to the meteorologist, it will be warmer than January but will still feature some days with low temperatures.

“We should prepare for different weather conditions in February; it might be milder than January. There will be a period from February 4-9 where temperatures will drop to minus 8 in mountainous areas and zero in the capital and lowland areas. Until February 14, the weather will be stable, with some local precipitation but low temperatures. Until February 14-15, we do not expect 20 degrees again, and although there will be sunshine, temperatures will range between 10-14 degrees in the first half of February,” Porja warned.

According to her, a critical situation will prevail across the European continent due to cyclonic storms, while the Balkans will experience snowfall.

“80% of Europe is in a critical situation. A cyclonic storm in the Atlantic is moving towards the British Isles and Scandinavia. Europe is facing critical conditions. The Balkans will experience snowfall, while Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, and Greece will primarily see rainfall,” she emphasized.
