Kept a firearm, a hunting weapon, and combat ammunition without a permit in a storage unit, 66-year-old arrested

A 66-year-old man has been arrested in Berat after firearms, a hunting weapon, and combat ammunition were found in his storage unit without a permit.

Official statement:

Specialists from the Crime Investigation Section at the Berat Police Commissariat cracked down on a case of illegal possession of weapons and combat ammunition.

As a result of the operation, citizen B.T., 66 years old, a resident of the village of Galinë, Berat, was caught in flagrante and arrested after a search carried out by police services in his storage unit uncovered and seized as material evidence: one firearm (rifle), one hunting weapon (double-barrel shotgun), as well as combat ammunition, all of which he possessed without a permit.

The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
