Knife attack outside a train station in Japan: One person killed, two injured, suspect at large

Police in Japan have launched a search to locate and arrest a man who stabbed three people outside the Nagano train station this evening.

A man in his 40s was injured and taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Another man, in his 30s, has been hospitalized in critical condition. A woman sustained minor injuries after falling and hitting her head while trying to escape the armed attacker.

According to witnesses cited by Kyodo News, the suspect is around 40 years old, slim, and approximately 1.65-1.75 meters tall. He fled the scene on foot and is being sought by police, while the motive for the attack remains unclear.
