Today has been the busiest day in the city of Korça. For days now, all of Albania has been talking about this southeastern city, especially since the Beer Festival kicks off in just two days.

At midday, it was difficult to move around on foot or by car in the southeast, as all roads were absolutely packed. The high influx in Korça is also due to the many emigrants who have surely arrived from Greece, a usual occurrence in mid-August.

Meanwhile, all hotels and guesthouses have been fully booked for the Beer Festival, leaving no vacancies showing that Korça is truly the crossroads of all routes in Albania.

This heavy crowding in the city is expected to continue until after the Beer Festival ends, and likely throughout the rest of the month, as emigrants returning from Greece will stay until then.

If there’s one city that’s completely packed during this period, it’s Korça — as you can see in the photo, where moving by car is quite difficult.
