KORÇË / Edmond Firaj arrested, 23-year-old who stabbed a 17-year-old over a debt

The Korçë Police have arrested Edmond Firaj, the suspected perpetrator of the stabbing of a 23-year-old man, an incident that occurred two days ago in the village of Moravë.
The young man was injured in the abdominal area but is fortunately out of danger for his life. Immediately after the incident, the investigative group identified the suspect and began searching for him.
According to sources, Firaj was located a day after the incident and was found intoxicated at the time of arrest. He was first transported to the hospital to receive necessary medical assistance and was later taken to the Police Commissariat.
Regarding the conflict, the 23-year-old stated that the victim owed him a sum of money. He said he had gone to Moravë to request repayment, but the argument between them escalated into a physical fight and later the use of a knife.
Police are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
