Korçë police issue a statement on incidents from the past 24 hours!

Following the preliminary information provided yesterday regarding an accident that occurred on the ring road of Pogradec, we inform that specialists from the Road Police Sector referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens R. Z., 27, and E. Sh., 58, residents of Pogradec. The vehicle driven by the 27-year-old collided with the motorcycle driven by E. Sh., resulting in injuries to the 58-year-old and his wife, who was a passenger on the motorcycle. Investigations revealed that E. Sh. was driving the motorcycle under the influence of alcohol. The injured parties are in the hospital, and their lives are not at risk.

Specialists from the Crime Investigation Section of the Pogradec Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens Xh. Ç., 45, resident of Pogradec, and D. P., 56, resident of Leshnicë village, Pogradec, after they were found in the village of Slabinjë transporting firewood with trucks without a permit. As material evidence, the vehicles and quantities of wood were seized.

Procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
