Korçë Traffic Police goes on a rampage/ 8 arrested in 9 days and 694 fines

The Traffic Police of Korçë district have significantly increased controls on urban and interurban roads during the period September 1–9, 2025, as part of a campaign to improve road safety and prevent accidents.

According to official data, 8 drivers have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or without a driver’s license.

In addition, 694 administrative measures have been imposed for various violations of the Road Code, such as speeding, dangerous overtaking, using a mobile phone while driving, and not wearing a seat belt.

Special attention has been paid to the problematic Qukës–Qafë Plloçë road axis, where police units are present with cameras, radars, and drones to monitor traffic and identify violators in real time.

The police call on all drivers to respect traffic rules, stressing that alcohol and speed remain among the main causes of accidents.
