Police operation "Split" concludes: Crackdown on drug dealing activities in small doses
A 21-year-old man was caught red-handed selling cannabis doses in Neighborhood no. 8 and was arrested. A 29-year-old man is also facing criminal proceedings after being caught in possession of cannabis doses allegedly purchased from the same individual.
Narcotics Investigation Specialists of the Korçë Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Special Force "Shqiponja", organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Split”, aimed at preventing and cracking down on drug dealing in small quantities. As part of this operation:
F. L., 21 years old, resident of Korçë, was arrested in the act while selling cannabis doses in Neighborhood no. 8. During a physical search, cannabis doses ready for sale were found on him.
M. K., 29 years old, also from Korçë, is under criminal investigation after being caught in possession of cannabis doses allegedly bought from the 21-year-old.
As material evidence, police seized the cannabis doses, a mobile phone, and a sum of money suspected to have been earned from the illegal activity.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further legal action under the criminal offense of “Production and sale of narcotics.”
