A 26-year-old arrested in Korçë for threatening police officers

As part of the operation “Again,” Korçë police arrested a 26-year-old who refused to open his door and threatened the lives of law enforcement officers.

Police successfully neutralized and detained the suspect, Renato Lipe.

Police statement:

The police operation, codenamed “Again,” was carried out due to the high risk posed to officers. The suspect possessed a firearm in his home and threatened the police. Following police warnings and professional intervention, the 26-year-old was arrested.

The firearm, a pistol loaded with a round ready to fire, was seized as evidence.

The Korçë Police Station, in collaboration with operational units of the Korçë Police Directorate, organized and executed the operation based on information that the individual, previously convicted for illegal possession of firearms, had obtained and was again keeping a weapon.

During the intervention, the suspect resisted opening the door and threatened the officers’ lives.

After repeated warnings and professional intervention, officers successfully neutralized and arrested Renato Lipe, 26, a high-risk individual with a prior conviction for illegal possession of firearms.

The firearm and live ammunition were seized as material evidence.

Procedural documents were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
