Man assaults wife, flees Home despite house arrest – Apprehended by Police

While under house arrest for the criminal offense of “Domestic Violence,” a 49-year-old man assaulted his wife with hard objects and fled their residence. He was later apprehended by police.

Thanks to ongoing efforts to locate wanted individuals and based on intelligence gathered, the Crime Investigation Unit of the Pogradec Police Station located and arrested:

P. F., 49 years old, resident of the village of Mëmëlisht.

This individual was wanted after allegedly assaulting his wife with hard objects in their home on May 22, 2025, in Mëmëlisht, Pogradec, and immediately fleeing the scene, despite being under house arrest for a prior domestic violence charge.

His wife is currently hospitalized and under medical care.

Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Korçë First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for further actions on charges of “Domestic Violence” and “Escape from Custody.”
