Masked and armed officers, footage from the RENEA operation! What is known so far (Details)

An operation has been underway since the early morning hours in the city of Vlorë, with RENEA forces surrounding the Uji i Ftohtë area. As seen in the footage, numerous police officers are positioned in different parts of the neighborhood.

This operation comes after SPAK issued seven arrest warrants, including for Flodian Plaku, previously arrested for the murder of Gentjan Bejtaj. RENEA is reportedly searching for Ervis Matodoshaj during this operation.

Sources from the Vlorë police indicate that suspected criminal figures have been under surveillance for some time, leading to this intervention on Saturday to apprehend them. A wide security perimeter has been established, with officers masked and armed.

Around 40 special forces officers and approximately 10 vehicles, including armored units, are involved in the operation.

The operation is also being monitored from the air using a drone. The Vlorë police and the National Bureau of Investigation have joined the action.
