Mayor Edison Memolla sentenced to prison

The Court of Appeals (GJKKO) has sentenced the Socialist mayor of Rrogozhinë, Edison Memolla, to one year in prison.

Memolla was accused of electoral corruption, and SPAK is expected to prepare the execution order to send the mayor to prison.

Meanwhile, the municipality of Rrogozhinë will be left without a mayor, and according to the rules, early elections will need to be held.

Additionally, Memolla will be banned from holding public office for five years.
