MEN’S VOLLEYBALL / Skënderbeu secures the Cup semifinal, wins in the capital against Studenti

Skënderbeu in men’s volleyball yesterday secured the semifinal stage of the Albanian Cup, achieving an important victory in the capital against Studenti with the score 1-3.

A win that officially closed the first round for Skënderbeu, securing second place in Group A, while in first place, without question, Partizani remains the best team in Albania.

Yesterday’s victory was truly important for coach Arben Prifti’s boys, who won the first set 22-25, while Studenti equalized the sets 1-1 after winning the second 25-16.

The third and fourth sets, although won by Skënderbeu, were very hard-fought, as Studenti competed until the last points, but it was Skënderbeu who prevailed 23-25 and 24-26, thus winning 1-3 and advancing to the next stage of the Albanian Cup.
