Monika Kryemadhi goes to SPAC, makes ironic remarks to the media: “I am heading to a significant legal battle”

Monika Kryemadhi appeared today at the offices of SPAC. She paused in front of the media, where her ironic remarks and quips were noted as she entered the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

Kryemadhi stated that she is facing an important legal process.

“Good morning everyone. Now we are heading into a very significant legal battle. Are you tired, or not at all?” Kryemadhi said.

On July 28, 2025, SPAC announced the completion of the investigation and the referral for trial of the criminal case against former President Ilir Meta and his former spouse, Monika Kryemadhi, accused of corruption and money laundering offenses.

According to the Special Prosecutor’s Office, Meta, who has been in prison for over a year, is accused of passive corruption in three cases, two of them in collaboration. His former spouse, Monika Kryemadhi, is charged with passive corruption in two cases carried out in collaboration.
