Four precious diamonds were seized yesterday at the Port of Durrës during checks on vehicles arriving from Ancona, Italy.
Police detained 30-year-old Dhionis Dervishaj, while the precious stones he had in his possession are valued at €4,400, with their origin remaining unclear.
Meanwhile, during a search of another vehicle, an electronic device used for detecting precious metals was found hidden in luggage, and another inspection led to the discovery of a quantity of narcotics.
