A man wanted internationally has been located and arrested in the “Vasil Shanto” neighborhood, with the aim of extraditing him to Italy. He was sought for involvement in a criminal organization and drug trafficking.
Special Operational Force Directorate structures, within the Criminal Police Department, based on operational intelligence, tracked down and arrested the citizen Kol Bushpepa, also known as Sokol Bushpepa, 45 years old, resident of Rrëshen.
This individual had been declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Appeal in Italy sentenced him to 5 years, 3 months, and 10 days in prison for the criminal offenses of “Criminal organization” and “Drug trafficking.” He still has 4 years and 18 days left to serve.
Legal procedures for his extradition are ongoing, in cooperation with Italian judicial authorities.
