The Elbasan Police announced that criminal proceedings have been initiated against Mariglen Hasa, the administrator of the company “Maresh SHPK.”

According to the police, this company, which specializes in the collection and transport of metal-containing waste, failed to comply with the law and its obligations, not treating the waste according to regulations.

It is also reported that the company owner has been fined 2,000,000 ALL.

“Specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes referred the case to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against M.H., 38, resident of Elbasan. In the company he manages, responsible for the collection and transport of metal-containing waste, inspections carried out in cooperation with the National Territorial Protection Inspectorate found waste that had not been treated according to current legislation. Additionally, for the violations identified by the inspection team, the company was sanctioned with an administrative fine of 2,000,000 ALL,” the announcement states.
