Neighbor dispute turns tragic: 69-year-old suffers fatal heart attack after seeing his son involved in the conflict

A dispute between two neighbors over a stack of firewood ended tragically on Thursday evening in the Vrapaj neighborhood of Roskovec, where a 69-year-old man lost his life after allegedly suffering a heart attack.

According to official sources from the Fier Local Police Directorate, the victim was identified as Baftjar Vrapi. The incident occurred around 20:00, at a time when his son was involved in a physical confrontation with a neighbor over a stack of firewood.

Based on the preliminary information provided by police, the 69-year-old was inside his home with his wife. After being informed about the conflict between his son and the neighbor, he attempted to go outside in order to prevent the situation from escalating. At that moment, he reportedly felt unwell, suffered a heart attack, and collapsed.

Immediately after the incident, family members requested emergency assistance. The ambulance transported the 69-year-old to the Roskovec Health Center, but despite doctors' efforts, he could not be saved and was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, local residents have provided a different version of events. According to them, Baftjar Vrapi was not inside the house but on the veranda, from where he witnessed the confrontation between his son and the neighbor. They claim that after seeing the clash, the 69-year-old suffered the fatal heart attack.

The Fier Police are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine the exact sequence of events that led to the 69-year-old's death. Authorities are questioning all parties involved, while police services remain at the scene carrying out procedural and investigative actions to document the case.
