Norway in delirium after triumph over Brazil, Army's video takes over social media

After a 2-1 victory and qualification for the World Cup semifinals, around 100,000 people celebrated in Oslo, while the Norwegian Army released a video featuring the "Viking salute."


Norway defeated Brazil 2-1 in the World Cup quarterfinals, securing a place in the next stage of the tournament. Following the final whistle, celebrations across the country continued throughout the night.


One of the most talked-about moments was the reaction of the Norwegian Armed Forces. The military released a video that quickly went viral on social media, showing groups of soldiers from different branches performing the so-called "Viking salute." Seated in formation as if aboard a Viking ship, they mimicked rowing with imaginary oars.


In Oslo, the festive atmosphere spread throughout the city. According to reports, around 100,000 people gathered in the center of the Norwegian capital, filling the main boulevards and squares to celebrate the national team's success.


The victory was secured in the second half thanks to two goals from Erling Haaland, who was the standout performer of the match.


The celebrations even reached the Royal Palace, where Crown Prince Haakon came out to greet the crowd and joined in the jubilant atmosphere.
