POLICE / Arrests. He scammed the Greek citizen out of 10,000 euros, 46-year-old man prosecuted. Incident in Korçë, Pogradec, Maliq. Here is the statement!

Korçë District

Road Traffic Sector specialists arrested in flagrante the citizen A. B., 36 years old, resident of the village of Lozhan, after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crime Sector referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizen K. Gj., 46 years old, resident of Korçë, as he is suspected that through fraud, over a period of 3 years, he appropriated 10,000 euros from a Greek citizen.

Korçë Police Station services referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizen S. O., 50 years old, resident of Korçë, after gambling-related pages were found during the inspection of his mobile phone.

They also referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office for evaluation, after the family members of citizen G. N., 49 years old, who died at the Korçë Regional Hospital on 16.11.2025, filed a complaint for negligence during medical treatment.

Pogradec Police Station services referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizens:

Sh. I., 65 years old, resident of the village of Çëravë, after he threatened a 75-year-old man with a sharp object over trivial motives;

D. K., 53 years old, resident of Pogradec, as he is suspected that, while intoxicated, he damaged the facade of a business building with hard objects.

Maliq Police Station services referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizens:

T. Zh., 37 years old, resident of Maliq, after he verbally threatened a 57-year-old man over trivial motives;

I. L., 20 years old, and N. M., 59 years old, residents of the village of Zvirinë, as they are suspected of having a mutual conflict over trivial motives.

Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point services caught citizen P. K., 39 years old, resident of Pogradec, attempting to leave Albania. He had been declared wanted by Police Station No. 2 for the criminal offense “Opposition to a public order police officer”.

They also referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office for citizen P. Z., 68 years old, resident of Bulgaria, after 4 old firearms with accompanying documents were found during a check of his vehicle. Work continues for the full clarification and documentation of the case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
