POLICE / Arrests in Korçë, sold cocaine in the city

Operation "Porta" concludes, targeting criminal activity related to the sale of narcotic substances in doses.

A 35-year-old and a 31-year-old man, collaborators in selling cannabis doses in the city of Korçë, have been arrested.

The 35-year-old, who was under house arrest for the criminal offense of “production and sale of narcotics,” was preparing the cannabis doses, while the 31-year-old picked them up and sold them around the city.

Cannabis doses were seized from the 35-year-old’s home and during a physical search of the 31-year-old.

Narcotics Investigation Section specialists of the Korçë Police Directorate, in cooperation with the special unit "Shqiponja", following investigative actions based on intelligence information, uncovered a case of drug dealing in doses. As part of the operation codenamed "Porta", the following individuals were caught in the act and arrested for the criminal offense of “production and sale of narcotics,” committed in collaboration:

Andrea Barmashi, 35 years old, resident of Korçë, currently under house arrest for the same offense;

Taulant Gatolli, 31 years old, resident of the village Bulgarec, currently under the measure “obligation to appear,” for the criminal offense of “computer fraud.”

Taulant Gatolli was caught in the act in neighborhood no. 18, Korçë, in possession of suspected cannabis doses he had just taken from A. B., with the intent to sell them in the city.

The case files have been forwarded to the Prosecution Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further legal action.
