Jetmir Muçllari, owner of the “Driloni” hotel in Pogradec, was arrested after physically clashing yesterday with Ilirjan Tasellari, the village elder of Tushemisht, and another person over a road that Muçllari claimed as his own.

Following the conflict, police investigations revealed that Muçllari had carried out construction work without a permit on land he claims to own. However, it turns out this land is part of a protected area.

Muçllari is charged with the criminal offenses of “land abuse” and “illegal construction for profit.”

The Pogradec Territorial Protection Inspectorate (IMT) had suspended the construction work in this area a week earlier. The case has now been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
