Police / Two arrests made in Korçë and Devoll. Criminal proceedings underway in Leshnjë, Voskopojë, and Pogradec. Here’s what happened…

Narcotics Investigation specialists arrested in flagrante delicto citizen V. Z., 21 years old, resident of Korçë, after being caught driving a vehicle without a driver’s license. During a physical search, a cutting tool (knife) was found on him. Additionally, they referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings began against citizen R. T., 22 years old, passenger in the vehicle, after a quantity of cannabis was found on him.


Crime Investigation specialists from the Devoll Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto citizen A. L., 55 years old, resident of the village Vranisht, suspected of physically assaulting his father.


They also referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings began against citizen M. D., caught performing construction works without a permit.

Crime Investigation specialists from the Korçë Police Commissariat referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings began against:


  • K. N., 44 years old, resident of Leshnjë village, for hitting a 55-year-old with a blunt object for weak motives;


  • B. M., 70 years old, and M. M., 44 years old, residents of Korçë, suspected of illegally occupying land belonging to a 52-year-old;


  • I. D., 61 years old, resident of Voskop village, for hitting a 55-year-old with a blunt object for weak motives.


Crime Investigation specialists from the Pogradec Police Commissariat referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings began against O. M., 19 years old, and M. M., 19 years old, residents of Pogradec, after being caught transporting a quantity of illegally cut wood. The wood was seized as evidence.


Following up on preliminary information from yesterday regarding an accident on the “Korçë-Ersekë” road, the Road Traffic Sector specialists referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where criminal proceedings began against B. D., 66 years old, resident of Gjirokastër, for “Violation of traffic regulations.”


Additionally, materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for K. T., 30 years old, resident of Korçë, after his vehicle collided with a motorcycle. As a result of the collision, N. M., 28 years old, passenger on the motorcycle, sustained minor injuries.


Procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
