POLICE/ 50-year-old from Korça arrested in Kapshticë

Attempted to smuggle goods from Greece, caught in the act and arrested by Border Police, 50-year-old man.

The smuggled goods (clothing) were seized.

As part of systematic checks and those based on police intelligence, Border Police services at the Kapshticë Border Crossing Point, at the entry into Albania, stopped for a second-line check a bus driven by citizen Endri Nisi, 50 years old, resident of Korça.

During the inspection, two bags filled with various clothing items, suspected to have been smuggled from Greece, were found in the bus luggage compartment.

Following the procedural actions, the 50-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of “Smuggling of other goods,” and the clothing items were seized.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
