POLICE/ Illegal gambling in Korça’s 13th and 16th neighborhoods. Smuggling and criminal proceedings initiated

Materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, which initiated criminal proceedings against citizen M. L., 36 years old, resident of Korça, after a search in the business he manages led to the discovery and seizure of suspected smuggled alcoholic beverages.

Specialists from the Anti-Trafficking Unit referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against citizen G. O., 34 years old, resident of Librazhd, after it was found that a vehicle owned by him had been reported stolen in Brazil.

Officers from the Korça Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against citizens N. R., 31 years old, and a 15-year-old minor, while citizen E. D., 38 years old, resident of Korça, was declared wanted. During a search at the premises managed by E. D. in neighborhood no. 13, the two other individuals were caught participating in illegal gambling activities. The equipment used for this unlawful activity was seized as material evidence.

Furthermore, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen A. T., 24 years old, resident of Korça, after a search in the business he manages in neighborhood no. 16 led to the discovery and seizure of gambling equipment.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça for further action.
