Intensive controls throughout the county using radars and dragsters, to identify and punish violators of the Traffic Code, who become a potential risk for involvement in traffic incidents.

Intensive controls, with the sole purpose of preventing road incidents with consequences for the life and health of road users.

During the past week, as a result of these controls, 2 driving licenses were suspended.

Also, 1 driver was arrested in the act and 3 others were prosecuted at large for the criminal offenses "Violation of traffic rules" and "Irregular driving".

20 drivers were punished for not wearing seat belts.

610 administrative measures for exceeding the permitted speed, recorded by radar.

91 drivers were fined for wrong parking.

Another 783 were punished for various violations of the Traffic Code.

The Korça Traffic Police appeals to all road users to strictly follow traffic rules, moderate speed, wear seat belts, do not use mobile phones while driving and do not make wrong passes.
