Possessing over 1 kg of cocaine with the intent to sell in different areas of the capital, a 44-year-old man has been arrested

Tirana / Continuous strikes against criminal activity related to the supply and distribution of hard drugs continue.

The police operation codenamed “Bulevardi” has been concluded.

A 44-year-old man has been identified and arrested, who was supplying and distributing cocaine in different areas of Tirana.

A significant amount of cocaine, weighing 1 kg and 680 grams, has been seized.

During the final phases of the operation codenamed “Zonat,” carried out during May and June, around 1.5 kilograms of cocaine and 1.1 kilograms of heroin were also seized.

As part of intensive controls and intelligence-led work aimed at cracking down on drug-related criminal activity, specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Directorate obtained information that a citizen would transport and distribute a considerable amount of cocaine in the area of the New Boulevard and on road segments connecting the capital with the Paskuqan Bridge area.

Based on this information, a police operation codenamed “Bulevardi” was organized and completed, resulting in the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen S. K., 44, resident of Vorë.

During the operation, on “Riglata” street, police services located and stopped the 44-year-old for inspection.

During the physical search, two packages of suspected cocaine were found and seized from him, with a total weight of around 1 kg and 680 grams.

Investigations suggest that this individual supplied other persons with cocaine for distribution in doses, while also distributing part of the quantity himself.

In cooperation with the Prosecution, work continues to identify and arrest other persons involved in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecution at the Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana for further actions, for the criminal offense of “Production and sale of narcotics”.
