Rented premises adapted for gambling, two young men declared wanted

Kavajë Police have declared two young men wanted after uncovering two premises adapted for gambling activities in different areas of the city. A 26-year-old and a 20-year-old are suspected of having rented the spaces and using them for this illegal activity.

During inspections in Neighborhood No. 6 and Neighborhood No. 1 in Kavajë, officers found that the premises had been set up for gambling with slot machines. In total, 16 devices used for this activity were discovered and seized.

The 26-year-old is suspected of managing the premises in Neighborhood No. 6, where 5 slot machines were found, while the 20-year-old is linked to the premises in Neighborhood No. 1, where 11 machines were seized.

Authorities are continuing efforts to locate and arrest the two wanted individuals, while the case materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office of Durrës for further investigation.

The operation was carried out following intelligence obtained by the General Directorate of State Police. It comes after similar operations in Kurbin, Milot, and Tirana targeting illegal gambling activities.

The operation, codenamed “Game of Chance,” led to the discovery of two premises adapted for illegal gambling in Kavajë.

Police have urged citizens to report any illegal activities, guaranteeing full anonymity, a swift response, and professionalism.
