Saimir Kodra wins legal case against actress Cenko – court issues verdict

Actress Egla Cenko has been fined 1 million lek by the court following a public statement she made on a television show, in which she claimed to have been sexually harassed by host Saimir Kodra.

After the statement, Saimir Kodra immediately denied the accusation, labeling it as slander, and decided to pursue legal action, seeking justice for the moral and personal damage he claimed to have suffered from the public allegations.

Following the review of the case, the court ruled that Egla Cenko pay a fine of 1 million lek for her statement made during the live broadcast. The decision is now final, and neither party has issued a new public reaction following the verdict.

This ruling comes at a time when public figures and social media are under increased scrutiny for the responsibility they bear in their statements, especially regarding sensitive accusations.
