Serious accident / Two drivers rushed to Trauma Hospital, one of them from Korçë. Possible fatalities reported

A serious accident has been reported on the Vorë–Fushë Krujë road, in the Ura e Gjolës area, where two vehicles collided head-on, with one person reportedly feared dead.

According to preliminary information, a “Benz” traveling from Rinas toward Fushë Krujë is suspected of making an improper overtaking maneuver before colliding with a “Land Rover” traveling in the opposite direction.

The collision was severe, leaving both drivers seriously injured.

One of the drivers, who is from Korçë, was urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

According to preliminary reports, he is suspected to have died while being transported, although this information had not initially been officially confirmed by the Trauma Hospital. Later reports identified the victim as 26-year-old Xhesjon Zogu.

The driver of the other vehicle also sustained serious injuries and was transported to Tirana for specialized medical treatment.
