Serious/Disturbing: Family conflict, 34-year-old man assaults his sister-in-law, her son then fires a firearm into the air

A family conflict in the village of Majtarë, Dibër, risked escalating after a 34-year-old man allegedly assaulted his sister-in-law, while her 19-year-old son fired a firearm into the air.

Police arrested the 34-year-old D. E., while 19-year-old F. E. has been declared wanted.

According to police, the conflict began within a family in the village of Majtarë, where D. E., 34, allegedly assaulted his sister-in-law, F. E., 40.

During the conflict, the 40-year-old woman’s son, 19-year-old F. E., allegedly fired a firearm into the air to threaten his uncle. Police are continuing their search for the 19-year-old, while checks are being carried out to locate and seize the weapon used.

Three other people have also been prosecuted while remaining at liberty. Two of them, F. E., 40, and A. E., 25, are suspected of assaulting each other during the conflict.

E. E., 38, is also under investigation, suspected of attempting to conceal evidence at the scene.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office attached to the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Dibër for further action.
