Serious incident in Korçë / Teenage girl attempts extreme act, saved at the last moment

A serious incident was recorded last evening in Korçë, where a teenage girl was urgently transported to Korçë Regional Hospital after attempting to take her own life.

According to preliminary information, the young girl threatened to jump from the window of the apartment where she lives, causing alarm among family members and nearby residents. The immediate intervention of her family, specifically her mother, made it possible to prevent the incident at the last moment.

Sources indicate that prior to this act, there had been an argument between the teenager and her mother, a situation similar to one that occurred about three months earlier, when the girl had attempted to jump from the third floor of the building.

At that time, both the teenager and neighbors in the area had stated that she felt ashamed due to her mother’s ongoing conflicts with her social circle and other residents in the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, the family is facing economic difficulties, and the girl’s father is in prison, factors that are suspected to have affected her emotional state.

Fortunately, thanks to the timely intervention, the incident did not have fatal consequences. The teenager is currently under medical care and receiving the necessary help.
