A tragic incident occurred this morning in the village of Flamulio, Trikala, Greece.
An 18-year-old killed his mother and then called the police himself to report the crime.
According to local media, the young man lived with his father after his parents’ divorce.
It is reported that during an argument, he strangled his 54-year-old mother with a towel, for reasons that remain unclear.
After the incident, the 18-year-old called the police, admitted to the act, and directed authorities to the scene. Upon arrival at the residence, police immediately arrested him.
Investigations are ongoing, and the full motives behind this extreme act are expected to be clarified.
