The famous Democrat from Korçë, Ilir Vrenozi, shared a video on social media where he is together with former Democrat MP Myslim Murrizi in one of Tirana’s cafes.
During their conversation, Vrenozi and Murrizi also talked about the decision of the Electoral College (KAS) to recount votes in the capital.
In the video, Murrizi says, “Thank God the boxes are opening so we can finally relax and stop accusing each other over the votes.” He continues by saying that from half a vote, it could turn into 600 votes, but it remains to be seen.
“Thank God these boxes are opening so we can relax once and for all and stop accusing each other. I’m not the one complaining, others did it. Thank God KAS decided to open Tirana so we can be at ease, at least stop accusing each other over votes. Even from half a vote, it’s almost 600 votes, so let’s see,” says Murrizi.
Meanwhile, Vrenozi said that according to a lawyer, in one of the boxes, there were 27 votes for Ilir Alimehmeti recorded on camera, but the official protocol showed 0 votes.
Vrenozi: I was coming back from Shkodra, a special friend of mine called me, said, “We are coming back, I’m close to Tirana.” I said no, he said “Come drink coffee.” A captain—you know who I mean, a generous captain.
Murrizi: How was Shkodra?
Vrenozi: Good, people were talking to me, they like me, I’m simple, but Shkodra is democratic too.
Murrizi: You’re popular and as a Democrat you have gone to the hearts of Democrats.
Vrenozi: First time in 24 years, first time I had been.
Murrizi: Until ’90, you had to get permission from the inner party branch.
Vrenozi: What are they saying now?
Murrizi: Thank God these boxes are opening so we can relax once and for all and stop accusing each other. I’m not the one complaining, others did it. Thank God KAS decided to open Tirana so we can be at ease, at least stop accusing each other over votes. Even from half a vote, it’s almost 600 votes, so let’s see.
Vrenozi: A lawyer told me, for Alimehmeti in one box, with cameras, there were 27 votes, but the protocol says 0.
Murrizi: I was independent too, I didn’t have observers or commissioners. Let’s see who they appointed. I believe everyone will be relieved by the results that come after the recount.
Vrenozi: I have a great desire to be a deputy; where does that hope come from that I too can have it?
Murrizi: By nature, I never fall into pessimism. It’s part of my optimism. Still, looking at the reality we live in, inside the closed list, I see some individuals who have criminal proceedings, we even have devils inside who are back and forth. Being the third after Jorida and Alimehmeti, I said I will be in the Assembly. I don’t know why they fear my statements. Even if I will be, I will represent those 7,289 Democrats, not PS (Socialist Party).
Vrenozi: That will be one of my joys. Thank you for this coffee.
Murrizi: I wish you a happy Bajram.
Vrenozi: You deserve a future too, commander.
