Skënderbeu and Apolonia "scouting" new talents: Over 30 foreign players on trial in Korçë

It was as surprising as it was true—what happened on the training grounds of the "Skënderbeu" stadium in Korçë. More than 30 foreign footballers, mostly from African countries but not exclusively, took to the field in a trial match organized by individuals acting as talent managers in search of contracts.

The goal was clear: to showcase any player who might catch the eye of Albanian clubs, primarily Skënderbeu and Apolonia, both of which had representatives present in the stands. These teams appear to be active in the transfer market and are exploring every opportunity for low-cost reinforcements.

However, despite high expectations and the players presenting themselves with great ambition, what unfolded on the pitch was far less impressive than anticipated. According to sources close to the clubs, none of the footballers truly stood out or made a strong technical or physical impression.
