Smuggling on the Kapshticë–Bilisht route, two citizens under investigation

As a result of detailed inspections based on risk analysis of citizens and the vehicles they use, the Border Police services intercepted two cases of goods smuggling.

For these cases, materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating proceedings for the criminal offense of “Smuggling of other goods” against the following individuals:

F.A., 44 years old, resident of Velitërnë village, who, at the entry point to the Republic of Albania, during a vehicle inspection, was found in possession of a quantity of oil and two small livestock, which he had not declared to customs authorities.

Q.Xh., 47 years old, resident of Pogradec, who, near the border on the “Kapshticë-Bilisht” road, during a vehicle inspection by the Investigation and ZMPKT Section, was found carrying a quantity of oil without a purchase invoice.

The goods were seized as material evidence.

Procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
