Snowfall in the southeast and north/ ARA appeals to drivers: Equip your vehicles with winter tires and exercise caution in mountainous areas

During the night and early morning hours, snowfall was recorded on the Boboshticë-Dardhë and Kukës-Shishtavec road axes. According to the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), contractors intervened immediately on site with snowplows and workers, ensuring the roads were cleared without causing problems for vehicle traffic.

ARA appeals to drivers to exercise increased caution and to equip their vehicles with winter tires and chains, especially when traveling in mountainous areas where snow is present. Footage released by the authority shows the situation on the ground and the intervention to keep the roads passable.

"During the night and early morning hours, there was snowfall on Boboshticë-Dardhë and Kukës-Shishtavec.

Contractors with vehicles and workers cleared the roads immediately without causing traffic issues.

Drivers should equip their vehicles with winter tires and chains when traveling in mountainous areas where snow is present," ARA stated.
