Sold cocaine and cannabis in Maliq and surrounding villages – 39-year-old arrested

Specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Korçë Police Directorate (DVP Korçë), following one month of investigative work using proactive methods, have struck a blow to the local drug trade as part of the coded operation “Liboniku”.

During the operation, police forces intercepted a vehicle in the village of Libonik, Maliq, believed to be used by the suspect involved in selling drug doses. The suspect, identified as J. B., 39 years old and a resident of Libonik, was found in possession of multiple doses of suspected cocaine ready for sale.

Further searches at his residence uncovered an additional quantity of cocaine, a quantity of cannabis, an electronic scale used for weighing drugs, and a quantity of military-grade ammunition.

As a result of the operation, J. B. was arrested in flagrante delicto and now faces charges of “Production and sale of narcotics” and “Illegal possession and production of firearms, explosive weapons, and ammunition.”

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office to identify and apprehend any other individuals potentially linked to this criminal activity.
