The Council of Ministers today approved the dismissal of three deputy ministers. They are Ilva Gjuzi, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Environment; Ceno Klosi, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy; and Romina Kuko, Deputy Minister of the Interior.

These dismissals come just days before the meeting of the Socialist Party Assembly, which is expected to be chaired by Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to political analysis, the decision is not seen as the result of individual failures, but rather as a strategic move in preparation for the formation of the new government.

All three dismissed deputy ministers were elected as MPs in the May 11 elections and may be part of the new “Rama 4” cabinet. Their removal from their current posts is viewed as a preliminary step toward taking on new, more responsible roles in the upcoming government.
