The 87th national athletics championship concludes – Skënderbeu crowned runner-up in both women’s and men’s categories

The 87th National Athletics Championship for adults has successfully concluded, marking one of the most important sporting events on the national calendar. The event was held with the participation of the best clubs from across Albania and delivered excitement, fierce competition, and significant results across all athletics disciplines.

After two days filled with track and field events, the winners of this edition were officially announced:

Tirana claimed the championship title in the women’s competition, demonstrating superiority in a number of disciplines and earning the necessary points to secure first place.

Vllaznia of Shkodër triumphed in the men’s competition, confirming its long-standing tradition in Albanian athletics and the high quality of its athletes.

Meanwhile, the Skënderbeu team delivered an excellent performance, managing to place as runner-up in both the women’s and men’s categories. This is an important result that speaks to the continuity and dedication of this club in the development of athletics in the country.

The championship was held under good technical and organizational conditions, providing a dignified arena to showcase the best in the beautiful sport of athletics. The individual performances of many athletes reflected an ever-improving level, while the participating clubs reaffirmed their commitment to building competitive teams.
