The Iljaz Bej Mirahori Mosque the first with a dome built in Albania

The Iljaz Bej Mirahori Mosque is located in the city of Korça and is one of the most important historical and architectural monuments of the city, built by Iljaz Bej Mirahori in 1495–1496.

The mosque is an example of Ottoman style and is characterized by its elegant architecture with a minaret and dome, as well as its interior decorations. It is the first mosque with a dome built in the Albanian territories.

Today, the mosque is not only a place of worship but also serves as a center for cultural and social activities, organizing events to encourage interfaith dialogue and promote harmony among the different communities in Korça and the surrounding region.
