Journalist Ruben Avxhiu has shared the heartbreaking story of a five-member family that perished yesterday in the plane crash in India.
He writes: “Pratik Joshi, a programmer from India, had been living in London for six years. He had worked hard to fulfill his dream of bringing his wife and their three young children, who had remained in India, to join him. After many years, the paperwork was finally complete, the permit was granted, and the dream was becoming a reality.”
“The day before yesterday, his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, a well-known doctor in Udaipur, resigned from her job. Their suitcases were packed, and they had said goodbye to their loved ones.”
“Yesterday morning, the five-member family, full of hope and excitement, boarded Air India Flight No. 171 to London. They even took a selfie before departure and sent it to their relatives. A new life was just beginning for them,” Avxhiu wrote on Facebook, as reported by Express.
“But fate can be cruel. Within minutes, everything was over. The plane barely took off before crashing and bursting into flames upon hitting the ground. 241 people lost their lives, including this family.
Plane crashes of this scale have become very rare, but they still happen. Every loss of life in an accident is tragic. It is even more heartbreaking when it happens like in this case—on the brink of fulfilling a long-awaited dream after years of hard work and sacrifice.”
