The retail price of the petrol product of standard SSH EN shall not exceed 174 lek per liter, while the wholesale price shall not exceed 162 lek per liter.
The prices set by the Board will enter into force today, 15 April, at 13:30 and will remain valid until the next Board meeting, where any price changes will be reflected.
We draw the attention of all wholesale and retail operators of oil products to the obligation to comply with this decision.
In case of violations identified among operators, suspension of activity will be imposed.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and maintaining the principles of fair competition in the market.
CLARIFICATION: According to Normative Act No. 1, dated 3.4.2026, “On an addition to Law No. 61/2012, ‘On excise duties in the Republic of Albania,’ as amended,” it is provided that if the retail price of diesel is higher than 220 lek per liter, or petrol is higher than 200 lek per liter, the 80% excise rate applies. Based on the methodology for calculating retail price ceilings, the prices are below the limit of Normative Act No. 1, dated 3.4.2026, and therefore the full 100% excise rate will apply.
