They took a bribe from a citizen, the Supreme Court (GJKKO) issues a decision on 3 police station officials

Daniel Likskëndaj, Afrim Ferraj, and Artur Jançaj, three officials from the Orikum police station, appeared this Monday before the Special Court for the assessment of their security measures.

For Likskëndaj and Ferraj, respectively a crime inspector at the Orikum police station and a local policing specialist, the court decided to continue the measure of “house arrest.” For Artur Jançaj, the head of the police station, Judge Gjoka changed the security measure from “house arrest” to “mandatory reporting.”

According to preliminary investigations, in September 2025 these police officers, acting in violation of the law and abusing their official powers, requested and received 270,000 lekë from a citizen in exchange for avoiding criminal liability.

After several months of investigation using special methods under the direction of SPAC, it was possible to document with legal evidence the involvement of the police officers in corrupt acts and abuse of office. As a result, all three were arrested.
