The death of Daorsa Spahija, a student from Gjakova who is suspected to have tragically ended her life on November 5 in Tetovo by jumping from a building, has raised serious doubts.
Her friend, Arbër Zhubi, claims that she was killed by her boyfriend. According to him, Daorsa was pushed from the building by her partner, raising suspicions that the police in North Macedonia may have concealed the truth.
“After pushing the girl around 16:15, the person went downstairs and confirmed the death of our friend, Daorsa. This person, Hevzi Sejdiu, later was captured on about five or six security cameras covering apartment entrances and garages with outside views,” he told Klan Kosova.
He added: “This is a case of murder, hidden by the local police, creating the perfect scenario to be considered a suicide. Because in North Macedonia there is a memorandum preventing suicides from being reported in the media, this allowed the case to remain unpublicized, coordinated with local police and the perpetrator, so the crime would never become public.”
On his Instagram account, he shared a video with details about the 24-year-old’s life, stating that she had been in a two-year relationship with the 31-year-old, who, according to him, did not disclose that he was married with three children.
“Hevzi Sejdiu, 31, is known as a criminal in Macedonia. Even though he had a wife and three children, he became involved in Daorsa’s life without disclosing this. His family only learned the truth later. Sejdiu was released a few months ago after trafficking dozens of weapons. If he had been in prison, we would not have been in this situation,” Zhubi said.
“She was supposed to graduate on November 13, but she didn’t because a criminal deceived her. He hid that he had a family, girlfriends, and partners. He became involved in her life, and when the truth came out, he threatened, blackmailed, and took her documents. She had no choice to go to the police station. This situation continued for over two years, during which her mental health deteriorated,” he added.
The 24-year-old was the daughter of former KLA soldier Arbër Spahija and was buried on November 7 in the city cemetery of Gjakova.
