A shocking incident has struck the boxing community in Mexico, as promising young talent Josue David Hernandez, only 20 years old, was killed while trying to protect his sister during a knife attack at the family home near Mexico City.

According to local reports, Hernandez was at home with his four sisters when the serious incident occurred last Tuesday. He was fatally wounded during the struggle, and authorities suspect that the attacker may have been a relative of the family. Doctors arrived quickly, but the young man had already passed away at the scene. Meanwhile, the aggressor is reportedly still on the run.

Hernandez was considered one of the most promising talents in Mexican boxing. He began training at the age of 10 and had won several national amateur tournaments, preparing for his professional debut. The news has also deeply shaken his coach, former champion Titan Rodriguez, who posted an emotional message:

“Today I woke up to the devastating news that you are no longer here. My friend, my brother, my running partner… we had so many dreams ahead of us. A part of my heart goes with you.”
