TRAGIC INCIDENT/ 58-year-old dies after being struck by a tree while cutting wood in the forest

A tragic incident was recorded this Friday in the village of Shosh, Shkodër, where a 58-year-old man lost his life after reportedly being accidentally struck by a tree.

The victim has been identified as Tonin Zojza, who, according to preliminary information, was in a forested area cutting and collecting firewood when the accident occurred.

It is suspected that while he was working, a tree struck the 58-year-old, causing fatal injuries.

Police officers and an investigative team arrived at the scene and are carrying out the necessary procedural actions.

“Today, in the village of Shosh, in a forested area, citizen T. Z. is suspected to have been accidentally struck by a tree while cutting/collecting firewood and, as a result, lost his life.

The investigative team is carrying out actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident,” the police statement said.
