Tragic incident in France: man from Korçë kills his wife with a shotgun and then commits suicide (names released)

A tragic incident has shaken the city of Brest in France, where a couple was found dead in their home on Thursday, according to French media reports.

The alarm was raised around 16:30, after a resident of the Europe neighborhood called the police, reporting that they had heard two gunshots at 101 Rue Général-Paulet.

Law enforcement arrived immediately at the scene and found the bodies of Andon Janaqi (36) and Anjeza Zeneli (30). A hunting rifle was also found nearby, and preliminary evidence suggests that the woman was killed first, after which the suspected perpetrator committed suicide.

According to investigators, the main line of inquiry is being treated as a murder followed by suicide.

The couple were parents of two children. At the time of the incident, one child had not yet returned home, while the younger child was at school.

French authorities continue to investigate in order to clarify the motives behind this tragic event that has deeply affected the community.
