Triple accident, tanker truck overturns on the side of the road

A road accident occurred on Friday morning on the Vlorë–Fier highway near the village of Panaja, involving three vehicles.

According to preliminary information, the crash involved a “Benz” van with license plate AB 498 JR, another “Benz” vehicle, and a heavy-tonnage vehicle. Due to the strong impact, the water tanker went off the road and overturned on the roadside, causing a partial blockage of traffic on this road segment.

Following reports of the incident, police forces and the investigative team arrived at the scene and are working to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident. Meanwhile, emergency teams intervened to provide first aid to those involved.

Preliminary sources indicate that one person was injured and transported to hospital for medical treatment, while fortunately no fatalities have been reported. Police continue investigations to determine responsibilities and the causes of the accident.
