Wanted internationally for theft and involvement in a criminal group, 3 people are arrested at the border crossing point

Three individuals have been arrested by the Morina border police for various criminal offenses.
A 65-year-old resident of Kosovo was taken into custody. He had been declared internationally wanted after the Frankfurt Court in Germany sentenced him to 4 years and 1 month in prison for the criminal offenses of “Theft,” “Criminal Group,” and “Criminal Organization.” He still has 18 months of his sentence left to serve.
“He was apprehended and arrested with the aim of extradition to Germany. The citizen M.G., 65 years old, resident of Kosovo, was found—following checks and information exchanged with Interpol Tirana—to have been internationally wanted by Interpol Wiesbaden, Germany. The Frankfurt Court had sentenced him to 4 years and 1 month in prison for the criminal offenses of ‘Theft,’ ‘Criminal Group,’ and ‘Criminal Organization.’ He has 18 months of the sentence remaining,” the police stated.
The second arrested individual, also a resident of Kosovo, had been internationally wanted by authorities in Kuwait for the criminal offense of “Aggravated Theft.”
“He was apprehended and arrested with the aim of extradition to Kuwait. The citizen Xh.S., 47 years old, resident of Prishtina, was found—after checks and information exchange with Interpol Tirana—to have been internationally wanted by authorities in Kuwait for the criminal offense of ‘Aggravated Theft.’ Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with counterparts, continues the procedures for the extradition of these two citizens,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old had been declared wanted nationally after the Tirana Court sentenced him to 4 years in prison for the criminal offense of “Assisting illegal border crossing.”
“The citizen R.P., 36 years old, resident of Kosovo, was apprehended after verification showed he was nationally wanted, as the Tirana Court had sentenced him to 4 years in prison for the criminal offense of ‘Assisting illegal border crossing.’ Further procedural actions for this citizen will be carried out by the Tirana Local Police Directorate,” the police informed.
